OJSC “Company “M.video” (RTS, MICEX: MVID) announces that the Company’s shares are included in the calculation of MICEX SC Index (MICEX Start Cap Index) of MICEX Stock Exchange effective from July 15, 2008.
MICEX Stock Exchange calculates 3 capitalization indices that cover 95 largest Russian companies ranked by market capitalization in three different size ranges:
- MICEX LC (MICEX Large Cap Index) – comprises largest 15 stocks
- MICEX MC (MICEX Mid Cap Index) – comprises next largest 30 stocks
- MICEX SC (MICEX Start Cap Index) – comprises next largest 50 stocks
Capitalization indices are reviewed quarterly on the basis of the previous quarter data.
M.video’s management believes that the inclusion of the Company’s shares in the calculation of MICEX SC Index will bring additional liquidity to the stock and will make an investment appeal to a broader group of investors.
